Morning Found Me

Lamentations 3:22–23

When the sea stood before me
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
Exodus 14:14
This verse is part of the story of the Israelites’ escape from Egypt. After Pharaoh finally let them go, he changed his mind and sent his army to pursue them. The Israelites found themselves trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea, feeling terrified and helpless. Moses was encouraging the people to trust God’s protection and not to fear or try to fight on their own. his moment shows Moses’ faith in God’s power and his role as the leader guiding God’s people through a crisis.
Under his shadow
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.
Psalm 91:1–2
Psalm 91 is a song of trust and protection, often called the “Psalm of Protection.” It was likely written during times of trouble or danger. While the exact author isn’t specified, many believe Psalm 91 was written by Moses or David. It’s one of the psalms expressing deep trust in God.
Above the noise
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.
1 John 5:4

The battle you cannot see

Ephesians 6:10–11
The Apostle Paul wrote the letter to the Ephesians while he was imprisoned. Paul wanted to encourage believers in Ephesus to live united in faith, grounded in the love and grace of Christ. Ephesians 6 comes near the end of the letter and focuses on how Christians should live out their faith in daily life.
When Joy Found Me
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:10
This verse comes from a moment when the Israelites, returning from exile, gathered to hear the reading of God’s Law. They were feeling overwhelmed by their sins and hardships, but Nehemiah encouraged them not to grieve in despair. Instead, he reminds them that their true strength comes from the “joy of the Lord.”
Right There With Me
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1
This psalm was written by the Sons of Korah, likely during times of distress or national crisis for Israel. It’s a powerful hymn declaring God’s protection and presence amid chaos and danger. The phrase “a very present help in trouble” emphasises that God isn’t distant or indifferent; He is right there with His people exactly when they need Him.
Grace Was Enough
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9–10
The Apostle Paul is talking about a “thorn in the flesh” — a persistent difficulty or weakness he faced. He prayed earnestly for God to remove it, but God responded that His grace was enough. Paul learned that in his weakness, God’s power shines brightest.
Don’t be afraid of what’s coming
“They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.”
Psalm 112:7
This verse of the righteous believer focuses on the confidence and peace that come from placing trust fully in God. When our hearts are ingrained in Him, we don’t live in anxiety or fear, even when bad news or difficult circumstances come our way. Instead, our faith steadies us, giving us courage and hope because we know God is in control and His promises never fail.
