Take Heart
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
John 16:33 is a powerful and encouraging verse where Jesus is speaking to His disciples just before His crucifixion. He doesn’t promise that life will be easy on the contrary, He acknowledges that troubles and challenges are part of our journey here. But right after that, He offers us hope and courage by reminding us that He has already overcome all the difficulties of this world.
Be Strong And Courageous
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
This verse is part of God’s charge to Joshua after the death of Moses. Joshua was about to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, a huge responsibility filled with challenges and enemies. God commands him to be strong and courageous, not because Joshua’s own strength is enough, but because God Himself will be with him wherever he goes.
